Kim's Birthday Cake

I am now officially in love with fondant. This isn't a showpiece by any means, but wow-i just love how it looks. The smoothness, the thickness, the weight. Fondant is awesome and i can't wait for another opportunity to use it again. I know i have a lot to work on with perfectly straight sides and using thinner buttercream under. I also should have had gum-tex in the bow to have it stand up (or gum paste, but i'm not there yet).

Underneath it was a layer of dark chocolate, white almond, dark chocolate with coconut cream filling. I also did a vanilla simple syrup on all the layers. It did taste delicious.
